School funding for acquiring and maintaining the needed infrastructure, an organisational environment that supports and propels technology-driven innovation, professional development of teachers linked to improvement projects, and a holistic view of the curriculum all seem to be the essential elements to promote innovative digital learning.

Sancho, Fernando Hernández, Amalia Creus, Sandra Martínez and Patrícia Hermosilla have received an honorable mention in the National Prize for Education Research and Doctoral Thesis 2007, CIDE-MEC (BOE (Official State Announcement) on November 25th, 2008), for the work Con voz propia. Los cambios sociales y profesionales desde la experiencia de los docentes. The study corresponds to the project Análisis del impacto de los cambios sociales y profesionales en el trabajo y la vida de los docentes (BSO2003-02232). The event will take place in Madrid, on December 15th.
